Type 1 diabetes international meeting, Copenhagen 2025
The Type 1 diabetes international meeting took place 4-6 February, 2025, bringing together global leaders, experts, and advocates to discuss type 1 diabetes epidemiology, sustainable care strategies, and international partnerships
Global efforts to address diabetes and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs) have fallen short, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), which may adversely affect the care of people with type 1 diabetes (T1D).
This international meeting on T1D was organised in context of the Global Diabetes Compact and the new targets for diabetes treatment coverage.
The international meeting was co-hosted by the World Diabetes Foundation, the East African Diabetes Study Group, the University of Geneva Faculty of Medicine, and the Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy.
