Objective

The project seeks to establish and communicate the global impact of diabetes.

Expected Impact

• Raise awareness of the burden of diabetes and its complications
• Influence health policy in developing countries to recognise and address the burden of diabetes
• Stimulate research on prevalence, prevention, care etc.

Results to date

• The Diabetes Atlas 3rd Edition was launched Dec. 2006 and is now available on in the IDF bookstore
