An account of the walk in Istanbul by the organisers

We as Organization Committee came to walk area early morning on 14th of November and organized registration desk. Participants started to come Start Point starting from 11 a.m.  We gave them special overcoats with a numbered sticker on them.(We organized the registration issue by web site, call center and a numbered sticker). So that, we counted the number of participants.

Total number of participants was 1.071(registered).We even had approximately 2.000 participants during the concert. We also distributed registration forms and got  the personal information of participants as much as possible. The local VIP persons such as Local   Manager of Government Health Office, Famous Diabetics and President of Turkish Diabetes Foundation were with us and they walked too.

Walk started exactly at 12 o’clock and finished at 12.30. The participation certificates have been given to all walkers when he/she arrived to Finish.

After everybody reached to finish area, our presenter HakanK has invited the President of Turkish Diabetes Foundation Prof. Temel Yilmaz  and Medical Adviser of NovoNordisk  Dr. Sevil Emek Tuna to the stage and they gave a speech stating the aim of this walk and thanked to participants and everybody who supported our walk. After then, Local VIP persons were invited to stage for a speech in their priority. The famous diabetics were also came to stage and gave short speech about their life with diabetes. TGRT Channel (National TV) broadcasted the organization live.

After the speech, Reyhan Karaca famous singer singed her songs. The concert is started at 14.00 and continued until 15.00. After concert our organization was finished.
