Ongoing projects

Presently the World Diabetes Foundation supports 195 ongoing projects in developing countries. The estimated total value of the project portfolio is USD 261.2 million of which USD 86.9 million have been donated by the World Diabetes Foundation.

The remainder constitutes partner contribution either cash or in kind.

To date, the Foundation has supported 10 global and 21 regional projects. In addition, five National Programmes has been launched since 2002.

Assuming that all projects have the intended impact, the projects may potentially influence diabetes awareness and treatment of 81 million people directly.
