WDF Fundraising Programme

The fundraising programme offers a unique platform for supporting children with basic treatment, regular monitoring and educational activities that would otherwise be out of their reach.

Over the period 2002 - 2009, the World Diabetes Foundation (WDF) has raised 21.2 million Danish Kroner under its fundraising programme.

Besides donations from the Danish Government (2004 - 2007) and individual private and corporate donations, funds are primarily raised by employees at Novo Nordisk under the Take Action! Programme. Encouraging staff around the world to engage in life changing fundraising events through WDF.

Donations are supplementary to WDF’s Deeds of Gift from Novo Nordisk A/S.

As per specific sponsor requests, the programme targets simple interventions aiming to improve access to diabetes care:

• Children living with type 1 diabetes
• Diabetes clinics
