"A design can only be assessed in the context it is designed for. In my work with the logo and identity of the World Diabetes Foundation I had two recipients in mind; the western world and the developing world. After having designed the blood drop for the World Diabetes Foundation, I was very pleased when a couple of months ago I saw how a local printer in India had hand copied it for a local poster. The blood drop works as a logo for the World Diabetes Foundation, not just on the computer screen but also hand copied on a wall in Tamil Nadu. I am proud of that"
