Over a thousand people took to the streets to raise awareness of diabetes in a country which has, according to IDF figures, 1 in 10 of its population living with diabetes.

The Afghanistan Diabetes Association, in conjunction with Novo Nordisk, The World Diabetes Foundation, The Ministry of Health and Kabul Medical University organised the walk. It received much media attention.
